Oakland Catholic Church ordered to turn over personnel files of priests

Oakland, California --

The Oakland Catholic church has until next week to turn over the personnel files of priests being sued over accusations of sexual abuse.

An Alameda County Superior Court judge ordered the church Friday to provide the documents to plaintiffs' attorney by December 28th.The order comes from the judge coordinating separate civil cases of alleged abuse by priests pending in various Northern California courts.Attorneys representing the priests' accusers have argued they should be able to see the files.
