OAP jailed for abusing girls
A 77-year-old Liverpool man who sexually abused four young girls has been jailed for four years.
Ernest Dobson was told by a judge he still posed a risk to children and would have been sentenced for twice as long if he were a younger man.
Dobson, of Alderfield Drive, Speke, admitted nine indecent assaults on one child and another on a 14-year-old girl.
He was also convicted at Liverpool Crown Court of indecently assaulting two other girls.
The jury heard his offences came to light after three girls - two aged 10 and one aged 14 - accused him of assaulting them on a church swimming trip to Rhyl Sun Centre, north Wales, in August 2002.
