Priest jailed for abusing boys

A retired Catholic priest has been jailed for almost four years for indecently assaulting boys.
Noel Barrett, 62, from York, assaulted the youngsters while a priest in Middlesbrough, Hull, County Kerry and Dublin, Teesside Crown Court heard.
He admitted 15 charges of indecent assault and asked for another 16 to be taken into consideration.
Sentencing Barrett to 45 months, Judge George Moorhouse said he had let the church down and shamed himself.
