Court To Hear Arguments Over Church Sex Abuse Lawsuit

Jackson, Mississippi -- The Mississippi Supreme Court was scheduled to hear arguments Monday in a lawsuit over alleged sex abuse in the Catholic Church.

The $48 million lawsuit is on hold while the court considers a motion by the diocese to have the cases dismissed.

The Morrison brothers claim they were sexually abused by the Rev. George Broussard in the early 1970s.

Alleged victims of sexual abuse have filed at least seven civil lawsuits against the Catholic Diocese of Jackson.
